Getting Started: To make a 16 piece medallion with alternating kites, you will start with 16 kites 8 of Kite A and 8 of Kite B.

Start your medallion by positioning your first kite, Kite A. Measure your kites from the top tip to the bottom tip, then double this number to find out how wide and high your finished medallion will be. The finished medallion size should be about 11 centimeters X 11 centimeters(4.25 inches). Each tile should be, approximately, a 4 centimeter(1.5 inch) square.

Glue your first kite in place with a permanent acid-free glue stick, but only glue one side of your first kite. The other side will be glued down later, when you add your last kite. * See 'Adding the Final Piece' On Next Page *
